here it goes
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
there is something on there about the driver door electronics... nevermind the immobilzer that's just the dumb key fob for the car and my rear tire needs air but oddly enough I am getting some code for the door...
VW Mechanic: Wolfgang, VW Master Technician replied 19 days ago

i see that !!

open the door and then the boot that has the wiring from the body to the door peel that back and see if you have any broken wires

Ask Your Own VW Question
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
Which boot?
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
Like u want me to take the door apart?
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
Nvm I just re read what u typed
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
I get it
VW Mechanic: Wolfgang, VW Master Technician replied 19 days ago

be careful not to destroy the boot if not done correctly it will leak water in the car!!

Customer reply replied 19 days ago
U***
VW Mechanic: Wolfgang, VW Master Technician replied 19 days ago

yes sir disconnect the boot from the body then the connector and then see if there are any wires that are chaffed or broken inside the boot!!

Ask Your Own VW Question
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
Now that u have completely freaked me out... lol how do I remove it properly?
VW Mechanic: Wolfgang, VW Master Technician replied 19 days ago

from the top press down on the tab and then pull the top back .

Ask Your Own VW Question
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
No exposed wires or nothin
VW Mechanic: Wolfgang, VW Master Technician replied 19 days ago

look further inside the boot about 2-3 inches in .

Ask Your Own VW Question
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
It says something about the regulator switch I’m guessing that’s all part of the wiring in the boot? Another thing is this happened after it got wet from rain
VW Mechanic: Wolfgang, VW Master Technician replied 19 days ago

ok lets do this .

you will need to pop the cap off the drivers door to expose the lock cylinder then from the remote remove the key blade and then close the door and lock the door with the key blade and hold do all the windows close?

Ask Your Own VW Question
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
Even when I had the car coded to open and close the window from the remote it didn’t work
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
Thats what u mean right hold the locking button on my remote and see if the windows will close?
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
Not only that when I pull the window button up for the driver side you can hear it click like the window is clicking into place but nothing happens on the reverse I think if I got it down it would go up I just can’t get it down
VW Mechanic: Wolfgang, VW Master Technician replied 19 days ago

ok i said the key blade manually in the drivers door lock cylinder. pop the trim cap off to expose!!

Ask Your Own VW Question
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
Alright it’s 1030 in Philly I will get the door apart tomorrow but I have a plastic key blade
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
Just so u know it’s the key blade that goes in the fob not the one that folds into it I start the car with the fob

VW Mechanic: Wolfgang, VW Master Technician replied 19 days ago

either then you have a window motor or the door latch is the issue but you recoded the module i need you to recode back where it was before!!

Ask Your Own VW Question
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
I did that last night before I ran the scan cuz I don’t like recoding it any way and since it didn’t work I just put it back
VW Mechanic: Wolfgang, VW Master Technician replied 19 days ago

Ask Your Own VW Question
Customer reply replied 19 days ago

VW Mechanic: Wolfgang, VW Master Technician replied 19 days ago
