Hello, I'm Brandon - VW tech.

When the check engine light blinks it typically means the engine is misfiring.

Do you feel the engine running little bit rougher?

If the check engine light continue stay on. I would suggest to connect an OBD2 scanner to the OBD port under dash.

The obd2 scanner can be purchase at your local auto store or Autozone sometime can let you borrow it for free.
