The first thing you need to do is connect a set of ac gauges up to the car so you can see the high and low side pressure readings are.

Expert:  Kalamykid replied 1 month ago.

Do you have access to a set of ac gauges?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
sir
Expert:  Kalamykid replied 1 month ago.

Can you connect them and tell me what the pressure readings are for high and low side?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
is that so i know the high side pressure switch is working?
Expert:  Kalamykid replied 1 month ago.

Not really. It is to see if there is enough freon in the system to turn the clutch on or not.

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
i won't be able to get those readings until 2maro. i guess i'll call you 2maro then. thanks in advance.
Expert:  Kalamykid replied 1 month ago.

That is ok. Just post back to this chat screen and we can work from here to find and fix this problem. You may also need a digital volt meter and a good test light if we need to co more testing.

i car was brought in under my shade tree and the owner said they tried to add freon but the gauge readings from the can went sky high into the red.
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
got a couple of fluke meters. tool shouldn't be an issue,
Expert:  Kalamykid replied 1 month ago.

Then we really need to see what the pressures are. I hate the cans with the gauges on them, as most often they read the pressure wrong, or the owner does not know that they are adding to much to the system.

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
ok i'll get back to 2maro. again many thanks
