tire pressure light goes on. Repaired tire. Good for a few days . Now back on. Am I supposed to reset the tire pressure? If so How?
JA: Have you checked your tire pressure? Do you have a tire gauge?
Customer: No gauge.
JA: What is the model/year of your VW?
Customer: 2010 cc
JA: Are you fixing your CC yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: had goodyear tire dealer fix it, Said there was aa nail. good for a few days now light is on again.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: is it supposed to have a reset after tire has been fixed?

Hi im kevin have you checked pressures to ensure the repair is good ? It only has to go 3 psi blow set amount for warning to come up

My apologies for delay for your age of vehicle my system shows there shoul be a button next to gearshift with the tyre symbol on it . You need to turn ignition on and press and hold button until a beep is heard then drive car to reset

Ok heres a guide for later model

  • Switch ignition ON.
  • Repeatedly press button Fig1172206.1 or Fig1172206.2 to select 'Settings' Fig1172201.2.
  • Repeatedly press button Fig1172206.3 to select 'Tyre pressure'.
  • Press button Fig1172206.4 to confirm selection.
  • Press button Fig1172206.4 to store tyre pressure values.
  • Press button Fig1172206.4 to confirm selection.
  • The TPMS warning lamp Fig1172201.1 in the instrument panel will illuminate for 1 second.
  • The TPMS will learn new values when the vehicle is driven. The time and distance required to complete the procedure is not specified by the manufacturer.

Vw dealer can't find it either. Going back to tire dealer.

If dealer cannot reset then tyre fitter must have damaged vice no other option
