fuel gauge is wigging...I replaced the fuel sending unit, which did not fix the issue. Alternator tests fine...battery is new.
JA: Has the vehicle turned into a gas hog? And how does it start -- same as usual?
Customer: starts the same...not sure about the gas hog, as it is my daughters car
JA: What is the model/year of your VW?
Customer: 1999 beetle
JA: Are you fixing your Beetle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: i am trying to do it myself i took out the fuel pump/sending unit and replaced the sending unit.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Gauge is not wiggling. It is displaying random fuel levels...i.e. wigging out.I had the vehicle when I sent the original request, but do not have the vehicle now, as my daughter is in college and has it with her.Please close this out and make sure that I do not get charged.Thanks
