I think I need to reset my security system on a 2002 passat.

I think I need to reset my security system on a 2002 passat. After I replaced the window regulator
JA: Are you fixing your Passat yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Checked fuses. And some utube advice on a reset that didnt work
JA: Most vehicles have two fuse panels. Have you located both?
Customer: No?
JA: What is the make/model of your car?
Customer: 2002 passat
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Do the headlights work and remain bright while trying to start?

So far this looks to be a weak battery. Can you verify if or not the battery voltage is good. A good charged battery will have 12.6 volts. With the headlights on about 12.4 volts.
