I have a 2001 vw beetle and replaced the skips

I have a 2001 vw beetle and replaced the skips on cyc.#1 and code comes up P0606 Ecm/Pcm procession. Cyc. #1 is dead and coil pack is new with plugs and wires. Please help
JA: Have you checked all the fuses? Do you have a wiring diagram?
Customer: going to check fuses. All ready went through whole wire harness
JA: Are you fixing your Beetle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Husband does it for aliving and my car is driving him nuts. Replaced starter,new plugs/wires went through wire harness and have it on computer and cyc #1 is dead
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: he went out to recheck fuse .be back to you soon

Hello, Welcome to Just Answer.

This code is a hard one to repair as it will entail a relearn on the ECU.

It basically means that the ECM (powertrain/engine control module) has detected an internal fault.
