JA: What is the model/year of your VW?
Customer: 2000
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: found wires in power box that looked hot at one time
JA: Have you checked all the fuses? Do you have a wiring diagram?
Customer: checked fuses no wireing diag

The throttle system might have a fault code. Or it might need a reset. The only way to find out is to have the ECM scanned.

The code will tell you more what you will have to do to repair the car.
