Please advise of what should be my next step or advise to the mechanic.
I believe the shop did something wrong after the fuel pump replacement that causes the EVAP Small and Large Leak Detected codes...
Expert:  vwtech0405 replied 1 year ago.
Check fuel pressure more then likely you have fuel pressure that's dropping because you have fuel pumps that are failing very common issue . I hope this helps
Please don't forget to provide positive feedback for the help provided thank you

Please read my posting in full. The shop did replace the fuel pump and than the EVAP Very Small, Small, and Large Leak are detected...please see all my code readings in the initial post. Thanks.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
My assumption and question is - what might be a reason, or what else he touch or did not put together when installing the new pump and filter that is causing the EVAP leak codes after his initial repair?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
My understanding is that there's a separate system (vacuum pump) that creates vacuum every once in awhile and than the pressure drop is compared to a table to inform on how big the leak is if any.
There was no leaks until the shop worked on the fuel pump and filter replacement.
Now other sources I found are talking about a purge valve. ..also another valve I forgot the name, that might be failing or being not installed back properly. ..but I need your professional opinion and step by step elimination analysis to figure out this issue I am dealing with. Thanks again.

Thanks for choosing Just Answer . I'm Wolfgang here to help!!

I am confident we can resolve your problem together. Please
understand that I don't know your skill level. In most cases when you have a problem
with the way the vehicle performs, specialized tooling is required to acquire computer
data/information or engine testing results. We didn’t build these complicated vehicles; we
just diagnose and fix them. Also understand that I can't see, smell, hear, or touch the
vehicle either, so it may take a few replies to get to satisfactory results. I am also going to
direct you with the fastest, easiest and most common things to check first. Please be
patient and permit me to do what I do best.
I also try to give all of the information you may need, expecting a “positive rating” in
return. I will also continue assisting you after you have rated me, if necessary. If there
is any reason I cannot get a positive rating, please let me know why “in advance”, so I
can go another direction for you. I am sorry you’re having this problem; I’ll help you
through it.
Below is my first answer or request for more information. If you do not understand it, or you need more information from me, or need me to go in more detail.

Which side fuel pump was replaced ? left , right or both?

please let me know

thanks

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Thank you for your positive approach to the issue.
To answer:
The driver (assuming left) side was replaced, both the filter and the pump. (The filter first than the pump after he was not able to "build" pressure...the filter would not fill with gas).
That being said, my understanding was after he explained, that he had to unplug both sides (pumps) since pumps are interlocked inside the tank and he needed to "open" the other side as well in the process.
Thanks

Regarding the technical language you can use...back in 1993 I graduated in Mechanical Engineering, major - Inter Combustion Engines. Also, since I started having this issue I purchased the VAG-COM software to be able to read the "codes". So, while I am not an expert I can follow some intermediate to complex directions or instructions.
Expert:  Wolfgang replied 1 year ago.

that is correct the main pump is the drivers side. but if one pump goes the other is not far behind so i recommend both pumps to be replaced at the same time.

what i would like for you to do is i want you to pinch the canister purge hose shut then start the car then with the scan tool go to 01 engine electronics then 04 basic settings then enter 071 then turn it on and let it run the test and see if it says system ok or not. please let me know
