I don't see the check engine light come on
Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 1 year ago.

The check engine light comes on for few seconds as what they call ( Proofing that the ECM ( computer) is communicating with rest of the modules

if you dont see , 3 possible cause , the ecm , the ecm connector or another module interfering with ecm signal .

If you want me to tell you what is the most common solution for a no check engine light on switch on , is the ecm itself.

you can try unplugging it and clean the connector , if not it will replacement granted all the wiring and modules are okay .

Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 1 year ago.

You can try a used one , it will make it crank and start but shuts off because you will need the immobilizer programmed , but you will know if that fixed , if you dont want spend hours of going thru a pin out test on the ecm .

they have them used on ebay

What about the ecm relay, J271
Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 1 year ago.

definitely check that first

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Where is that?
