Volkswagen Beetle 2.5: 2006 vw beetle2.5 plenty of battery

2006 vw beetle2.5 plenty of battery turn over just a second then nothing. dash showed cps sensor and check engine light. replaced 2 times in 2 days. no prev starting prob ust ha shop change plugs and pvc valve sometimes will star in neural but not in park. left overnight i cranked 2 times next morning then nothing. new battery doubled checked for tightness. can hear clicking shorly after releasing ignition key

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!The first step in diagnosing the problem is to use a scan tool or code reader to see what codes are setting in the engine controller. If it's setting a crank sensor code actively then you may have a wiring issue, assuming that you do have a good sensor in it.Do you know what fault codes are setting currently?
