Customer Question

I changed the fuse in my 2012 vw jetta se that controls the charging ports (cigarette lighter). Now my ESP light, check engine light, and tps light are on. What caused this? I know I changed the right fuse since my phone charger is now working.

Hello, Welcome to Just Answer.

The current flow disruption/reconnection cause a flash voltage that the ECU sensed. It has probably now stored a fault code that will have to be deleted to reset the system.

This can be done with a scanner tool that can reset the system.
