Customer Question

I own a 1998 VW Beetle which has been dying out while driving. I am struggling to get it started and when it does it dies when accelerated. The coil was changed and still the issue persists. Can you help to diagnose the problem?

What is the fuel pressure at?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Do not know, it does not have a gauge for it.

Correct, you have to tee into the line to see what it's at.

Tee into the line ?

The car dies when started and accelerated, I do not have a way of seeing the or measuring the fuel pressure .

It would be hard to rule out then. You can normally borrow a gauge set from Autozone and test it.

I do not know how to do it and would rather consult some where else, thanks..
