07 Wolfsburg Passat battery went dead, held recharge and load

07 Wolfsburg Passat battery went dead, held recharge and load test ok.
replaced battery started car runs smooth, steering light stays on with the ARS light.
place car in reverse loud clunk like it has a broken motor mount in Drive, the same checked no broken mount.
checked it has no error codes.

To reset the steering and ARS lights you just need to drive it and make two turns where the steering wheel makes at least a 90 degree turn and back to center (like around a parking lot, figure eight, etc.Does it "clunk" when shifting if you still have your foot on the brake? Possible you could pop the hood and have someone watch to see if the engine shifts forward or back?
