Hello, Welcome to Just Answer,Have you had a compression test done? This will give you a indication as to whether the fault is the engine or the turbo. At times the turbo oil seals are leaking oil into the engine and cause oil to be used. This is only thing I can surgest you do to find out what is causing the oil use. if it is the piston rings leaking then the compression will be low and the car will also lack power. If you need more information please do not hesitate to ask.Greetings,Martin.

It is the turbo oil seals then the car has 80000 miles on it and I started driving it after it sat for 3 years and after a few hundred miles it quickly got worse. How much work is it to replace the seals on the turbo?

Hi,
Before you do any thing make first sure what the cause is... it might also be the engine. The turbo seals is not a easy job to do. just to remove it and stripping replacing it is a rather big job. So first make very sure what is causing the oil usage..
Greetings,
Martin.
