Volkswagen New beetle: My boy put a power inverter into the

Customer Question

My boy put a power inverter into the rear 12v power outlet in my 2007 vw new beetle. The tip of the power inverter came off and a metal rod fell in. My boy said he saw sparks. I got the rod out. The 12v power outlets no longer work.

Hi Welcome to just Answer. It is hard for anyone to say what went wrong in these circumstances. There is a fuse somewhere on this unit. It might have blown now. What actually happened on the inside where the rod fell is anyone's guess.I know this is not much of a answer but there is not much more I can suggest.Greetings,Martin
