Customer Question

vw 2.8L v6 engine- I have a no start problem and I did a compression check and found out all 6 cylinders have zero compression. I even wet the cylinders by pouring a bit of oil in and still Zero. How is it possible to have Zero compression on All 6 Cylinders??? I checked all the timing marks and everything is good there.

hi there if the piston rings are worn this can cause a 0 compression all cylinders but the timing marks will still be on, next step would be a cylinder leak down test
