This is a really difficult question to answer, as the carburetor by itself cannot do this if it is in order.
Did you inspect the engine oil level? It might be too full. The previous carburetor might have leaked fuel into the sump.
Are you sure that the adjustments on the carburetor are properly set or that the fuel float setting is correct and not over flowing? It might just be that it's running rich and washing the oil from the piston barrels.
I am just asking these way out of normal questions, because this is not a normal problem that you are experiencing.
