Hello, Jason here to help. The oil light is on at idle, or when driving? Oil level OK? How long since the last oil service? And do you use synthetic or standard oil? I am sorry for so many questions, but they help. Jason

These engines have real issues with oil sludge clogging the oil pick up tube in the oil pan. The symptoms are oil light and warning on at 2000rpm. Pieces of dipstick plastic also. The solution is to remove the oil pan, clean the pick tube, and look for metal in the oil pan when its off. If flakes of metal are found, it is likely too late. If caught early, and not driven far, the chances are that cleaning the pan and pick up will solve the problem. Jason
