The car doesn't have a dipstick. The proper procedure to check the fluid level. It to read the trans temp with a scan tool. With the trans at 40deg. C. you remove oil fill plug in the bottom of the transmission pan with the car running and in park or nuetral. with out a scan tool you start the car and as it just warms up you can remove the plug and then fill the transmission until it runs out of the hole. when you remove the plug there is a tube that goes up into the trans pan that set where the fluid should be.

Yes If it doesn't sound like you could do it then I would take it to a shop because if it isn't done right it could cause damage. A shop should charge you about 1 hour labor and about $24 a liter.
