how do you change a 2004 volkswagon passat headlight bulb?

It depends on which side, drivers side you just pull the rubber boot off the back of the headlight and then unclip the spring clip that holds the bulb in and disconnect the electrical connector. The passenger side you have to loosen the 3 phillips screws that hold the air duct in place and then pull the duct out. Replacement of the bulb is the same as the driver's side once the air duct is out of the way.
