VerifiedWithout running an "oil consumption" test there is no way to know IF it is, and HOW MUCH. This will set the oil at a baseline, and after a certain number of miles the car is brought back and checked (or if noted that the oil is lower, it is brought back to be checked.)
There are issues currently with the PCV valve on the turbo engine, and a recall that addresses it- if you give me the VIN number I can tell you if it applies. The PCV valve has been known to fail, which could result in the intake putting a constant suction on the valve cover area.
I have also had to replace the valve cover (is is baffled to remove oil from the moving air) and the oil filter assembly for oil consumption, which resolved the issue, but it is not a common occurrence.

It should not, unless the intake actually RESTRICTS intake (which would pretty much defeat the reason for having an aftermarket intake!) which would require the cylinders to put a harder vacuum on the intake and therefore on the seals and PCV system.
Normally, laws require the manufacturer to prove that the aftermarket part is the causal part of a failure.
