I'm sorry, ignore that. The website automatically sends those phone call requests.

Expert:  Andy replied 10 months ago.

What did you do to check the battery?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Actually, I purchased a battery about three months ago from auto zone
Expert:  Andy replied 10 months ago.

Okay, so it has not been checked? Are the cables clean? Have you tried a jump start?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I just did a jump and hit the cables to see sparks... All the lights worked
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
The cables was new I purchased them that night
Expert:  Andy replied 10 months ago.

Did it start with a jump? And does the key come out?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
No it wouldn't start and the key didn't come out
Expert:  Andy replied 10 months ago.

Is the key in backwards by chance? Stupid question, I know, but I have seen it a couple times actually so I just want to make sure

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Now that's a good question...lol not sure
Expert:  Andy replied 10 months ago.

Well if you have the metal key blade, that should be facing out. Some people no longer have the key blade, which makes it possible to insert backwards

Expert:  Andy replied 10 months ago.

Otherwise if the battery voltage is fine, you most likely need a new ignition switch and possibly a key. There is programming involved for both, so a dealer would be necessary.

Expert:  Andy replied 10 months ago.

The most common cause I have found has been a bad battery, which can cause all sorts of problems, this being one of them. I've also seen a lot of negative battery cables corrode, which can also cause problems like this.
