Hi Im David, thanks for visiting the site. please allow me to pull up some info for you. thanks

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
could it be a number of things?
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

yes it could be. but most likely the electronic throttle control.... you will need to have the computer scanned so i can see what codes are present

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
How do I scan the computer?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Just had the oil changed yesterday. Car ran fine yesterday afternoon and evening. Somewhat cooler last night, this morning got the message.
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

take the car to autozone and they will scan it for free. write down the codes and let me know them. if hte car cant make it to autozone, then you will need to but a cheap code reader.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

There are a number of things that can cause this warning and it will take some testing to determine exactly what is going on. The warning is displayed when a fault code sets and the engine controller derates power to prevent damage or a safety issue.

The first step in diagnosing the problem is to use a code reader or scan tool to see what fault codes are setting and then testing can be done from there. Were you able to have the codes read?
