The airbags in my 1998 Volvo were deployed and wanted to

Customer Question

The airbags in my 1998 Volvo were deployed and wanted to know if I could just replace the air bags?
JA: How long has this been an issue? How many miles are on the car?
Customer: It just happened and there is 160000 miles on it
JA: What is the model of your '158000 Volvo?
Customer: S70 sedan
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes. Just want to know if I can just replace the airbags or if I have to replace the sensors also?
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: The airbags were deployed in a accident.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Volvo Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hi im kevin you at minimum will need to replace the airbags and either replace or have the module reset .the module is a one use unit and once airbags have fired its used .there are companys that can reset these and remove crash data from them .you will need to have car plugged in and faults retrieved to see if impact sensors need to be replaced but they dont normally have to be replaced every time
