My check engine light came on after we reset it at about 60

Customer Question

My check engine light came on after we reset it at about 60 miles. The code was P1172. My car is a Volvo 2000 V70. Do you know what is wrong?
JA: Have you already scanned the code? How is the battery connection?
Customer: The battery is fine. The code scanned as P1172.
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes. I had the head rebuilt and the vacuum lines traced and corrected. I need to correct this code so I can get the car smogged for plates.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: There are 194000 miles on the car.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Volvo Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Sorry for any delays...

That code is for the front O2 Sensor being bad and not reading right.
