My 1995 Volvo 940 won't start (turnover). The dealer

Customer Question

My 1995 Volvo 940 won't start (turnover). The dealer diagnosed the problem as a mass air flow sensor, but after replacing it, still not working. I've changed the throttle position sensor, crank angle sensor, fuel regulator, and idle air control valve as well. Still nothing. Please help. Many thanks.

What is the issue exactly? You say it won't turn over, do you mean that the engine will not fire? Is the engine turning when you try to start it?

The starting motor cranks but the engine isn't catching.

Ok, do you have a scan tool? Have you pulled the codes?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No scan tool and I don't know how to pull codes.

I have attached a pdf file that should tell you how to pull the codes.

Let me know if it works.
