Hello, my name is***** time a fuel trim or O2 sensor code is set, the adaptive data will likely have to be reset after repairing or you risk the code returning. Unhooking the battery usually does not work but has occasionally been successful. If you do, remove both battery cables and touch together for as long as you can. 8+ hours seems to work the best. So try that tonight and that will usually take care of problem if not you will need to have adaptive data reset with scan tool. Let me know how it goes or if you have more questions, thanks.

I have a Solus Ultra. Used it to clear DTCs. I did contact my local Volvo repair shop. They recommended a smoke test to check for leaks and they also Adaptive Data was not necessary on 01 Volvo S40. I do have a strong exhaust leak.... Will be replacing exhaust manifold gaskets next. Hopefully kill two birds with one stone...

Do think an exhaust manifold leak could cause a P0133 code as well?

Clearing the DTC isn't enough, disconnect battery over night and let me know if that helps. Exhaust leak could also cause this problem. Let me know if you have more questions, thanks.
