I have a Canon Power Shot 53. Today it complained that the memory card is full. What do I do at this point? The camera still works well.

Technician's Assistant: How old is your PowerShot?

As mentioned it is Power Shot 53. I am sure that this does not relate to its age. But I suspect I have had it for at least 20 years. What specific info would you need to have, and how might I replace its memory card?

Technician's Assistant: The Camera Technician will be able to walk you through that. What have you tried so far with your PowerShot?

I was trying to photogram something, when the note came up that its memory card is full.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Camera Expert to know before I connect you?

What more might you need? The function problem at hand is that the memory card is full. How do I replace that, if necessary. Or might I be able to save what is on there and re=use the memory card?

You have 2 reasonable options to solve this issue for your Powershot S3 is. The first is to purchase a new card and use it in the camera. You will be able to keep the photo files that are on the original card. This camera is compatible with SD and SDHC cards from 2gb up to and including 32gb and are avaiilable at the links below.

You can also transfer everything on the existing card to your computer, then use the camera's FORMAT process to completely clear and optimize the card for further use.
