I can't download pics to my computer. I normally do it by just plugging the line from the camera into my computer.

The software does not run. I was able though to download the pictures anyway. I went to my file explorer and found the proper location for my pics, which I transferred to my download folder then my external drive, where I keep photos.

yes, this is how you need to do it from the camera.

So the photos are coming across ok now?
