I have a cannon SX620 HS and I can't connect to wi-fi

Technician's Assistant: Did you download all the necessary software to connect your camera to your computer (e.g. Canon EOS Utility)? Is your software the latest version?

Yes but it didn't ask for the serial number of my camera as indicated by the web instruction

Technician's Assistant: If you are using a USB cable, are you using the one that came with your camera or an aftermarket one?

No. I am try to connect via wi-fi

It seems to hunt for at least a minute and then it says error.

Can you please remove the power to your wifi router then wait 5 minutes, connect the power and tell me if the camera then connects please

I have determined that my camera is connected to my WI-FY network. I have downloaded the camera app and when I start the app if says no camera found.

I clicked the app ImageTransferUtility and the WY-FI green light on the camera starts blinking but there is no indication of is happening on my Mac.

Can you remove the battery please then hold the shutter button down for 60 seconds then release.

Wait 5 minutes, put the battery back in and turn it on.

Tell me please if it now connects please

I completed the task. I press the WI-FI button and the light blinks green. Then push the playback button and i get a Busy response on the camera viewing screen. When I try to use the ImageTransferUtility there is no action. When I use CamerWindow.app ir responds No Camera found.

Can you tell me the make and model of the wifi router please?

It is an AT&T master hub which include telephone and internet access. I talked with AT&T and the support person said that since the green light on the camera blinks that the camera is connected to WY-FI. The hub is an AT&T U-verse hub and the only other info on the device is the WI-FI address and password.

On the back of the hub is a reset button

Using a paperclip push and hold it in for 5 seconds then release.

Then wait 5 minutes and tell me how it then functions please

I want you please to do a full reset of the camera.

To do this

Turn on your PowerShot and press the "Menu" button to open the menu in the viewfinder window.

Press the directional arrows on the Func.Set button to select the "Tools" tab, which is represented by a wrench and hammer icon. The Tools menu appears in the viewfinder window.

Scroll to "Reset All" using the directional arrows on the Func.Set button.

Press the "Func.Set" button to select Reset All. A "Reset Settings to Default?" message appears. Highlight "OK" using the directional buttons and then press "Func.Set" to select it and restore your camera's factory settings.

Once done, tell me if it then connects please.

I did it. I opened CameraWindow.app and it responded with no camera found. I opened the ImageTransferUtility.app and nothing happened. I pressed the WI-FI button on the camera and it responds with "Busy".

It is the internal mainboard in the camera that has faulted, this now confirms it
