Hi! I'm looking to record...
Hi! I'm looking to record some footage for a projector, then project it at a high frame rate onto a person, then slow-motion the footage so the footage being projected is in real time but the person that's is being projected on is in slow-motion. I'm using Lightworks as my software, a Cannon t5i as my camera. How do I go about doing this? How does one speed up the footage so that no-frames are lost when projected?

Hi. My name is*****'m a camera repair technician with over 30 years in the business and I'll be glad to help you with your question today.

What is the fastest frame rate of your camera? (hint: 30-60fps isn't fast enough). High speed photography is done with a high speed camera, 1,000 - 10,000 fps. The only way to achieve this with your system is using drop-frame editing. If your clever and edit the right spots, this can be achieved to some extent.

Would I still need a high frame rate if I’m speeding it up the footage? If I make a video at 60fps but then speed the edit up by x3 then shouldn’t it be projecting at 180fps? Unsure on the algorithm behind the editing software and if that’s the easiest method since I wouldn’t have to record footage at high speeds
