I've tried at least 20 different tapes that I have. Multiple manufacturers. The only tape that does not give me the error is a TDK head cleaning tape. It will not error and allows the play button to be pushed and it will run for approximately 10 seconds before stopping by itself. No error. Just stops

Unfortunately, that means the device has an internal failure that would require it to be replaced.
