Hi, I have a new JVC GY-HM170U. I need to go back to initial settings. (I did it incorrectly, did not diagnose with the lens cap on, and everything is in Spanish, not English!) How can I do that?

Technician's Assistant: Has there been any damage to your camera recently (e.g. from dropping or from dirt getting in the lens)?

No. It's brand new. I just took it out of the box!

Technician's Assistant: What kind of battery does your camera use? Have you tried taking out the battery and replacing it?

It's plugged in at the moment. The batter is a lithium ion battery which came with the camera.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Camera Expert to know before I connect you?

I began to do the initial set-up, but didn't realize the lens cap had to be on for a set-up procedure that takes several minutes. So I cancelled the "diagnose" (set-up) procedure, put the lens cap on and tried to start over. I was unsuccessful.
But, I did something, because everything is in Spanish on the LCD screen, and I don't speak Spanish. Please help.
This a brand new video camera. I had just charged the battery, and was hoping to get started using it. Should I call JVC?

you don't know how to reset my JVC GY-HM170 video camera?
I have already called JVC and left a message. I thought JVC/Just Answer would be able to help me.
There must be a way to do a factory reset.
