I have a Canon77D...

I have a Canon77D new to me. I use the focal button to focus the shot. however when the image appears on the screen, the red dots stillappeiar.

Simple question. how do I get rid of the focus dots on the picture the LCD monitor screen after I have used the focus intaking the shot

There is a setting for them: the VF Display Illumination setting.

Go into the AutoFocus section of the settings.

Set the value for VF display illumination to either

0 Auto (the red dots only appear in dim light)

or

2 Disable (red dots never appear.)

The setting at a guess is at 1 Enable, where they always appear.
