I purchased a Nikon A900 for a gift and when I put the battery pack in by mistake it was installed upside down. How can I remove it?

Technician's Assistant: When did you last charge your A900?

It has never been charged it is a Christmas gift

Technician's Assistant: Have you tried a force reboot (pressing and holding the Power and Volume Down buttons)?

I will have to check

If the battery pack has been fitted in reverse it may cause permanent damage to the camera.

If you are unable to remove it yourself, a local Nikon dealer or camera repair technician can assist in removing it without causing further damage.
