My finepix hs 25...

My finepix hs 25 exr is stuck on "protected card" and I can't take pictures. Have tried changing batteries.... leaving it off overnight... changinh chips and menu won't come up either.

Try taking out the memory card, looking for the switch marked 'LOCK' on the memory card, and putting the little switch on the memory card into the other position, so that the card is not Locked.

You cannot take pictures with a write-locked card, you see, because taking a picture and storing it on the card requires writing data to the card. But if the card is un-LOCK-ed, it should work.

(If it doesn't work, the camera may be requiring repair-servicing for a defective sensor switch in the memory card slot, which does sometimes happen.)
