I have a CHA error in my D700 after return from Iceland. It

JA: Hi. How can I help?
Customer: I have a CHA error in my D700 after return from Iceland.
JA: How long have you had your D700?
Customer: It cannot read or format any of the cards.
JA: What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have tried an 8GB Lexar 300x NEW ONE - NO LUCK
JA: Anything else you want the Electronics Expert to know before I connect you?

Have you tried formatting the cards in the camera?

If the cards still cannot be read after formatting then the card reader has likely suffered some damage, and the camera will require a repair.

You can try looking inside the card reader slot with a flashlight to see if you can spot any obvious signs of damage, e.g. bent or broken pins.
