I have two SONY...

I have two SONY cameras, DSC-HX20V & DSC-HX300, from which I've successfully downloaded photos to PlayMemories Home on my 2015 Apple iMAC until last month when I updated the iMAC with Version 10.13.1 macOS High Sierra. Since then I've been unable to save photos from these cameras. I'm told by Apple techs that SONY hasn't yet updated its "system" to allow me to continue my photo downloads. Can you help me? In not now, then when?

I believe PlayMemories may have been update when I loaded it to my computer around Dec, 2015. Don't think it's been updated since then.

Then open the app Image Capture.

Do you then see the cameras there? If so, you can import the photos from that.
