My panasonic DMC_ZS100 is not recording audio when i record in video mode. I have to record my son's wedding tomorrow! help!

Check that the tiny microphone hole has not been blocked by any debris, preventing the camera from recording sound.

Try blowing into the mic hole whilst recording, and let me know if you hear any sound at all when you play it back...

The tiny stereo mic holes are located either side of the flash.

There are 2setsof either side of the pop up flash nothing below the flash. The holes do not appear to be obstructed in any way. There is NO sound on playback on the camera.

Is it possible to set something taht turns off the mic? When recording the display screen shows a symbol denoting no sound- typical bar across speaker type symbol.

Is it possible that some of the settings have been changed?

If you aren't sure which settings may have been changed, you can try a factory reset using the menu.

There is faint sounds. Not sure if that is due to the quality if the speakers in the camera and it will sound normal on playback on another system or what. We will have to record the ceremony witha backup just in case.

If the mic holes are unblocked and you are only getting faint sounds after a reset then the camera likely has an internal fault with the microphone circuitry.
