My eos 400 won’t...

My eos 400 won’t power on tried the trick and new batteries still nothing

Technician's Assistant: What's the make/model of your camera? How old is it?

Eos 400d about 6. Years old

Technician's Assistant: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?

I took a photo then it just turned off. Got new batteries and tried taking out batteries cf card for 10 mins and then replace still nothing

Can you remove the battery please then hold the shutter button down for 60 seconds then release.

Wait 5 minutes, put the battery back in and try to turn it on.

Tell me please if it now starts

In the event the Lens has jammed, can you turn it upside down and put it on something that vibrates such as an electric razor.

Once done, try to power it on as it is vibrating

Does it then start?

It is the internal mainboard that has faulted, this now confirms it
