I have a Nikon CoolPix S6100 and I'm trying to shoot video.

I have a Nikon CoolPix S6100 and I'm trying to shoot video. When I try to upload from camera to computer, the Nikon Transfer 2 window will not recognize my camera so I can start transfer.
JA: What's the exact make and model of the camera? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: I thought that was the exact make and model. What else would I look for. It's approximately 2 years old. I've never used it before, though.
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: clicking everything.

Customer: I know nothing about this camera, and I'm just trying to follow the manual.

If you go to the following link and click on software (box on the right), it will display the software downloads available.

The one you need is the first one - that includes both ViewNX-i & Capture NX-D. Click on the View Download Page link on the right, then download and follow the instructions. You may want to uninstall the original version first. Installing this software should resolve the issue. Please leave the camera unplugged until the software prompts you to plug it in.
