I can no longer load my pictures from my camera to my laptop, can you help me troubleshoot?
JA: What's the exact make and model of the camera? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: S5000, maybe 5-10 years old
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Nothing happened in particular, and I haven't done any troubleshooting so far.
JA: Anything else you want the Camera Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No things were working fine for years, then can't move pictures from camera to laptop anymore, thanks

Hi there and welcome

Can you tell me please exactly what happens when you try to transfer photos from the camera to the laptop?

Please let me know

Thank you

The FinPiix page does not open. I hear the familiar noise, the chime or something that I always used to hear, but the page does not open.

Can you tell me the version of windows you are using please?

Customer: replied 29 days ago.
Windows 10
Customer: replied 29 days ago.
Or is it XP or something like that?
Customer: replied 29 days ago.
No it is 10

Ok, connect the camera, then press the windows key + E for the windows file manager to open

Then click on This PC, and once done tell me what is listed under devices and drives please.

local disc (C:) DVD RW drive (D:)

Connect the camera to a different USB port on the computer

Does an additional device then show up there?

Customer: replied 29 days ago.
No it doesn't
Customer: replied 29 days ago.
Wait yes now an E drive

Thats the camera, so now go to it and copy your photos from it (it will be in a folder called DCIM)

Let me know how you go please.

Customer: replied 29 days ago.
I see them in DCIM folder

Yes, you copy them this way directly to your computer

These are the photos on your actual camera and you can copy them from there

If you have continued problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

And if you can take a second to rate my service by clicking one of the stars at the top of the screen then submit, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Thank you very much and I will rate you well. Is this the way I do it in with all future pictures?

yes, and it is by far the best as it is themost direct
