I have a cannon mg5420 printer. Despite having good ink levels, it is suddenly printing as if it's low on ink

Technician's Assistant: What's the exact make and model of your printer, and can you guesstimate how old it is?

It's a Cannon MG5420 and it's probably around 7 years old

Technician's Assistant: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?

Nothing popped up. I'm not getting any error messages. One day it was printing fine and the next day the printing quality is terrible. I tried replacing both of the black cartridges but it didn't help.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Camera Expert to know before I connect you?

Have you done anything to the printer besides replacing the ink cartridges? What kind of things are you printing?

I'm just printing regular word documents (not photos or anything). I haven't tried anything to fix the problem other than changing the ink cartridges.
