I have a Nikon 40x I was trying to use a SanDisk SDXC 64 gb

Customer Question

Good Morning I have a Nikon 40x I was trying to use a SanDisk SDXC 64 gb card with my camera - I can't seem to format it Am i doing something wrong or that card will not work with my camera Thanks for your help Chip
JA: What's the exact make and model of the camera? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: The camera is a Nikon D40x approximately 12 years old
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I put the card in - it said it was full (which it isn't because it is brand new) I tried to format the card in the camera but the card still reads full
JA: Anything else you want the Camera Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: thats about it thanks

Hi the and welcome

The limit for the card is 32GB, it will not work with anything above this.

You need to use a card with a space of 32GB or below, this will work.
