Welcome to the site! I'm Dan, and I'm sorry to hear about your camera.

Before it died, did the camera indicate that the batteries were low?

Expert:  Dan replied 1 month ago.

Robert, I need to step away from the computer for about 30 minutes. Go ahead and respond when you're ready, and I'll let you know when I return. Thanks for your patience.

OK, I'm back.

I've worked with these Olympus cameras for years, and one thing to remember about them is that they're very picky about the brand and freshness of the batteries. If the batteries were sitting around in a drawer for a little bit, I wouldn't use them. Make sure they're fresh from the store, and buy a good brand name... Duracell is fine. Alkaline. Not rechargeable.

If the batteries are fresh, make sure they're installed properly. Since there are 4 of them, it's easy to flip one the wrong way. I've attached a photo for you to reference, to make sure.

Try those, and let me know if it works. If it doesn't, I'm also happy to help you locate a repair center. I'll await your response on the batteries.
