I have a minolta...

I have a minolta dimage Z1 it shut off by itself, the on off switch has no effect on it at all, it has new batteries, the card is installed and I had just taken 2 pictures with it. what could be the problem wit it.

Technician's Assistant: What's the make/model of your camera? How old is it?

Konica/Minolta Dimage Z1 Age I have no idea, but I did purchase it brand new and love it

Technician's Assistant: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?

I had just taken 2 pictures and it shut off, I have tried new batteries, and reinstalling the card, moving the switch positions has no effect AND pressing the on off switch has no edffect

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Camera Expert to know before I connect you?

Thats all I can think of, it has never been dropped or gotten wet, and alwas stored in a camera case.

The On/Off switch is likely defective if there is no response from the camera at all when you try moving it.

A lack of use can contribute to problems like this.

The camera will need to be taken to a local electronics repair shop or returned to a Minolta service center for repair.
