Customer Question

I get a card error when loading a new card.
JA: What's the make/model of your camera? How old is it?
Customer: Canon ZR70
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: The book says to reformat. It says go to menu, I did. It says, go to card operations-there is none. The menu says card set up. I tried that no format option.
JA: Anything else you want the Camera Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: With the old card it will record only a few seconds then shut off.

Hello and thank you for your question. I look forward to assisting you today. Can you check to make sure you are using the same type of card that you are replacing please.

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Of course. They are both the larger micro cards.
Expert:  Dan replied 1 month ago.

Okay, but is the new card the same capacity and speed as the original?

Expert:  Dan replied 1 month ago.

These are the memory cards that are compatible with your camera: SD Memory Card: Panasonic: 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB, 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB
SanDisk: 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB MultiMediaCard: SanDisk: 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB. This doesn't mean you need to use only these brands, but the capacity of the card is very important. If you try to use anything larger than the camera can handle, it will not read or detect the card.
