Second opinion] I have tons of Hi8 and Digital8 tapes I need

Customer Question

Second opinion] I have tons of Hi8 and Digital8 tapes I need to capture into my Mac. Will a device like the Song GV-D200 work in FCP 6 or Premiere Pro?
JA: What's the make/model of your camera? How old is it?
Customer: It's a Sony DCR-TRV330 and it's about 15 years old
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: i'm just looking for some advice on purchasing a Sony GV-D200 or GV-D800 as an alternative to using that camera to capture these tapes as it's starting to fail on me.
JA: Anything else you want the Camera Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: i'm using the latest version of Premiere Pro to capture miniHDV tapes using a Sony HVR-M15U and it works fine. I'm hoping the camera expert can tell me if one of these Sony Hi8/Digital8 decks will work to capture/digitise my Hi8/Digital8 tapes using a Mac

The Sony GV-D200 should work since it plays Digital 8 and connects (firewire) like the camera.
