Re: Canon Pixma MX 922. We are unable to scan a document. We keep getting an 'internal error' message. The unit is able to print and copy. Please help.

JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Tried to scan, it acted as if it was working but the end result was the Internal Error message

If the Internal Error message appeared on the computer screen, then there is a problem with the scanning software on your computer. Uninstalling that scanning software, restarting the computer, and reinstalling the scanning software, would be the right thing to do for that problem.

(If you need instructions in detail as to how to do so, tell me what scanning software you are using, and what your Windows version is, please.)

If that message appeared on the printer itself, that's a different sort of problem - let me know if that was the case, and let me know more details, and I will instruct you further as to what is going on and what to do.

While I appreciate your comment - it was too late and didn't tell me exactly what to do step by step to fix the problem. I called Cannon in the meantime and was walked through how to fix the issue, at no cost. I absolutely do not want to pay for not only the original cost but any subsequent cost to get the answer you gave above. Please do not charge my credit card, I will argue that charge with the credit card company if you do.
